As a parking system provider specialized in airports in Argentina and Uruguay, our company, EC Solutions, is implementing lights on barrier booms.
We are not sure which color would provide a smoother user experience and improve traffic flow. Our initial guess is that green lights would help users understand that the lane is open. However, we have seen other companies use red lights that turn green when the barrier is fully open, while others keep the lights red at all times.
I would like to know what your experience has been in this area and, if possible, whether you could share your learning process and lessons learned.
