Hello, Parking & Mobility Leaders!

Due to editorial deadlines, I am currently asking for both April and May responses. When answering, please specify which month you are responding to. Please feel free to respond to one or both.

APRIL 2025:

The theme of the April 2025 issue is Sustainable Parking & Mobility.

The Ask the Experts question for the April magazine issue is:

The parking and mobility industry plays a fundamental role in driving sustainability in transportation. Which parking and mobility innovations are promoting a greener, more sustainable future?

 

MAY 2025:

The theme of the May 2025 issue is Future Trends & Technology.

The Ask the Experts question for the May magazine issue is:

Which technology trends will most significantly impact the current operations of the parking, transportation, and mobility industry?

If you'd like to answer the Ask the Experts question, please send:

1. A succinct (two to three sentences MAX) response.
2. Your company and title as you'd like it printed.
3. Your preferred headshot photo if you have not sent one.

The response deadline is Friday, March 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. ET. Unfortunately, late responses will not be considered.

APRIL 2025:

The parking and mobility industry plays a fundamental role in driving sustainability in transportation. Which parking and mobility innovations are promoting a greener, more sustainable future?

In terms of mobility, hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs) have made the biggest impact on minimizing emissions. Using solar power to charge the EVs furthers the sustainability of this approach. For parking, creating more green spaces and utilizing permeable pavements will allow the physical lots to be managed longer, provide more shade, and improve air quality. Combining these solutions will help the world of parking and mobility look very similar in the current use of cars and parking lots but promote a greener environment.

MAY 2025:

Which technology trends will most significantly impact the current operations of the parking, transportation, and mobility industry?

In cities and universities across North America, there is a lot of momentum for a mobile app to provide parking and transit offerings. This decreases the need for physical pay stations and reduces the operational, installation, and maintenance costs surrounding legacy solutions. Mobile apps have already played a large role in parking and mobility, and only seem to continue growing.

The change from meters and street hardware to digital payments allows operators to be more responsive in their curbside parking management and utilize innovative approaches such as dynamic pricing.
