Your Face Is Your Logo By Trystan Henry, PECP

One of the unique aspects of the parking and mobility industry is how relationship-driven it is. Over time, professionals begin to see the same people across conferences, committees, and industry discussions. In many ways, the industry functions as a close professional community where reputation and relationships travel quickly.

Because of this, personal visibility matters. A simple way to think about it is: your face is your logo. You don’t have a personal marketing team.

People tend to remember individuals before they remember organizations. When someone consistently participates in industry conversations, contributes ideas, or volunteers their time to support the profession, others begin to associate that person with credibility and experience.

Visibility does not require large platforms or formal presentations. Often it comes from small and consistent engagement. Volunteering with industry associations, participating in committees, or attending conferences are all ways professionals build relationships while contributing to the growth of the industry.

Professional communities have also expanded into digital spaces. Engaging in industry discussions online…reading, commenting, or sharing perspective…allows professionals to stay connected even when they are not at an event. These conversations often continue the dialogue that begins at conferences and meetings.

For many professionals, networking becomes less about intentional promotion and more about simply being present and engaged. Over time, participation builds familiarity, and familiarity builds trust.

In an industry built on collaboration and shared challenges, that trust often becomes the foundation for new ideas, partnerships, and opportunities.

How do you stay visible and engaged within the parking and mobility community?
